Fred, Pauline and the Greens are a trinity of

‘My way or the Highway’ policy extremes’.

Pauline has done us a great favor by allowing us all to learn the

meaning of the word xenophobia.

I always felt a bit sorry for her because I too, at that stage would have had to ask

‘please explain’?

Xenophobia is ‘the intense or irrational dislike or fear of people from other countries’.

Now that we can all name it, we can begin to deal with it.

I think t comes naturally to us, this xenophobia thing!.

It comes with the turf of being a Human Being, from our evolutionary and tribal past.

It is how we deal with it that really matters!

Name it!    Own it!    Deal with it!   Dispense with it!.

Pauline asserts, “Criticism is not racism”!

That may be so if we are seen to have a well-developed capacity to criticise ourselves. In my experience, that usually keeps us too busy to be putting the spotlight on others!

Most of us would agree that criticism from those who have not ‘walked in our shoes’, those who have not earned the right to criticise by first reaching out with a helping hand is no less destructive than a full blown racial insult.

Integrating is not easy. Just slip over to Beijing for a few weeks and see how you go!

It often takes two or three generations.

It becomes much easier when some one gives a helping hand!

By giving a helping hand, the criticism evaporates. We begin to feel the warmth of their red blood rather than just see the hue of their skin or the difference in their habits.

Just don't sit there and criticise.

Get off your fear-filled Arse, Pauline -

And reach out with a helping hand.

Give Respect a Go!  -  Give it and you’ll get it back!

Pauline’s Way?  No Way!

There is a better way!

Giving Respect – Expecting Respect!
